Valenz is Proman’s global methanol marketing arm and is responsible for the worldwide marketing and distribution of Proman’s methanol portfolio. Headquartered in Wollerau, Switzerland, with regional offices in Houston, Texas and Singapore, Valenz actively supports the increasing use of methanol as a low-emission energy pathway. Around 25 percent of its shipped volumes consist of low-emission methanol, delivered via ports at more than 50 locations each year.

In a major industry first, Proman and Valenz partnered with blockchain infrastructure provider Earn DLT to mint and deliver Quantified Emissions Tokens (QETs) to Evonik for 1,000 tonnes of ISCC-certified methanol produced at Proman’s Pampa facility. These tokens provide a digitally verified, tamper-proof record of carbon emissions data associated with specific methanol batches, enabling full traceability from production to delivery. This innovation gives customers a powerful tool for transparent and auditable emissions reporting, helping them meet regulatory and ESG disclosure requirements while supporting more informed procurement decisions.
