Proman UAE is Proman’s local subsidiary established to develop and operate the UAE’s first world-scale methanol production facility. Located in the TA’ZIZ Industrial Chemicals Zone in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, the plant will produce up to 1.8 million tonnes of methanol per year.
The plant expected to begin operations by 2028 is being developed in partnership with TA’ZIZ, a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company (ADQ), and forms part of the UAE’s broader strategy to diversify its industrial base and enable low-carbon chemical production.
