Power generation
Methanol power solutions deliver immediately available, cost-effective, low emission, flexible baseload power, where and when it is needed.
Industrial companies, data centres, island nations and utilities across developing countries face a shared challenge: meeting rapidly rising power demand with solutions that are affordable, secure and sustainable, while moving away from conventional fuels. Methanol offers a practical answer: safe, easy to handle and biodegradable, with global availability and proven use across energy and industrial applications.
Methanol‑fuelled power generation is affordable and flexible, with fixed pricing options available and limited capital investment required to adopt. It leverages widely deployed, proven Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) technology and existing infrastructure, enabling rapid deployment and scalability. As a clean‑burning fuel, methanol delivers very low sulphur oxides (SOx), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM), supporting immediate emissions reductions and a credible pathway to net zero through lower‑carbon and green methanol.
In early 2025, Proman launched Power32 to help address these challenges by delivering scalable, low‑emission methanol‑based power solutions that bridge today’s capacity gaps while enabling long‑term decarbonisation. Working with leading OEMs, Power32 deploys solutions ranging from 250 kW generator sets to utility‑scale plants exceeding 250 MW, integrating engineering, fuel supply and operations to deliver secure, flexible and future‑ready power.
