Point Lisas, Trinidad and Tobago— As the world observes International Volunteer Day, the Proman Foundation is spotlighting the power of service as a core expression of its mission to develop skills and build stronger communities. This year, more than 250 Proman employees across Trinidad and Tobago invested over 1,000 volunteer hours in Foundation-led initiatives, underscoring Proman’s belief that sustainable impact begins with people showing up, contributing time, and working alongside communities.
Since its establishment in 2022, the Proman Foundation has served as the principal channel for community investment and volunteer mobilisation. To date, its programmes have reached over 12,000 people in more than 70 communities nationwide, with volunteer action underpinning many of these outcomes.
This year, Proman Trinidad employees supported a range of initiatives, including International Coastal Clean-up Day activities in Orange Valley, a key fenceline community linked to the Point Lisas Industrial Estate. Through our Habitat for Humanity partnership, employees also assisted a family in Fyzabad by constructing the tank stand for a new rainwater harvesting system — an essential upgrade given the household’s challenges with reliable access to water.

Volunteer participation continues to strengthen the Foundation’s portfolio of initiatives, including youth mentorship, cultural development, education, housing support and maritime training — reinforcing long-term partnerships and extending programme reach.
